The main physical and chemical properties of pp yarn
1. Form The longitudinal direction of the pp yarn is straight and smooth with a circular cross section.
2. Density pp yarn has the advantage of light texture and a density of only 0.91g/cm3 which is a medium density of common chemical fibers, so the same weight of polypropylene can be compared with the higher coverage area of the fiber.
3. Strong stretch pp yarn has high strength, large elongation, high initial modulus and excellent elasticity. Therefore, polypropylene has good wear resistance. In addition, the wet strength of polypropylene is basically equal to dry strength, so it is an ideal material for making fishing nets and cables.
4. Hygroscopicity and Dyeability pp yarns have little hygroscopicity and are almost non-hygroscopic. The moisture regain under atmospheric conditions is close to zero. However, it has a wicking action that transfers water vapor through the capillary in the fabric, but does not itself absorb any absorption. The dyeability of polypropylene is poor, and the chromatogram is not complete, but the method of coloring the original liquid can be used to make up for the deficiency.
5. Acid and alkali resistance pp yarn has good chemical resistance. In addition to concentrated caustic soda, polypropylene yarn has good resistance to acid and alkali, so it is suitable for use as filter material and packaging material.
6. Light resistance, etc. pp yarn has poor light resistance, poor thermal stability, easy aging, and is not resistant to ironing. However, it is possible to improve the performance by adding an anti-aging agent at the time of spinning. In addition, the polypropylene polypropylene yarn has good electrical insulation properties, but it is easy to generate static electricity during processing.
What are the properties of polyester yarn:
1. High intensity. The short fiber strength is 2.6 to 5.7 cN, and the force fiber is 5.6 to 8.0 cN/tex. Due to its low hygroscopicity, its wet strength is essentially the same as the dry strength. The impact strength is 4 times higher than that of nylon and 20 times higher than viscose.
2, good flexibility. The elasticity is close to the wool, and when it is stretched 5 to 6, it can be almost completely recovered. The wrinkle resistance exceeds the fiber, that is, the fabric is not wrinkled, and the dimensional stability is good. The modulus of elasticity is 22 to 141 cN, which is 2 to 3 times higher than that of nylon.
3. Good heat resistance.

5, good wear resistance. Wear resistance is second only to wear-resistant nylon, which is better than both synthetic and synthetic fibers.
6, good light resistance. Lightfastness is second only to acrylic.
7, corrosion resistance. It is resistant to bleaches, oxidants, hydrocarbons, ketones, petroleum products and inorganic acids. Resistant to dilute alkali, not afraid of mildew, but hot alkali can make it.
8. Dyeing is poor.
